For the digitally enhanced project I am going to utilize WordPress and essentially create a website about my research on Elizabeth Packard. It will include my thesis along with a short summary about Elizabeth Packard’s life. From there, I will use both secondary and primary sources to create different tabs that will organize my research. The designated tabs may include but are not limited to: “Asylum Days”, “Legal Efforts”, “Personal Accounts”, “Historiography”, etc. I will also have a specific tab for any media that I find along the way that seems important to my research.
Many of the primary sources that I am using are from Elizabeth Packard herself and her legal efforts regarding Women’s Rights and Patient’s Rights. Those works will develop into a very important role in this research as they support the secondary works that are written about Packard.
