My approach for my digital project this semester will be a digitally enhanced essay. The goal of my essay will be to research how the United States responded to the massive increase of mental health issues in post World War I America. This includes how the public reacted to these new issues as well as how the medical community planned on treating them. The types of primary sources I will be using for the project are journal articles, memoirs, popular literature, and medical discussions. In terms of secondary sources I will be using medical histories, social histories, literary histories, and medical journals. In terms of digital enhancement I have collected memes, news articles, and videos.
