I chose this image from memebase as it is interesting when considering anxiety in women in this period. While reading and researching for my topic, I have read how many times women’s anxiety or depression during this period could stem from the role she was playing in society. I thought this meme was kind of subtly directed at the “anxious housewife” and what she was responsible for.
