For my digital project, I plan on using WordPress to post the results of my research into how the treatment of PTSD has evolved from the Vietnam War to the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan. I will investigate what factors contributed to the differences and similarities of PTSD as it is seen in veterans of these two eras. My project will utilize a variety of primary and secondary sources, such as memoirs from PTSD sufferers, books by those who have treated PTSD sufferers, scholarly articles, graphs, charts, and videos. I plan to have six sections of my project:
- An explanation of what PTSD is in general
- Thesis (to be determined)
- Experiences and treatment of Vietnam veterans with PTSD
- Experiences and treatment of Iraq/Afghanistan veterans with PTSD
- Conclusion
- Bibliography
