+ | Within the introduction of Pursell’s American Technology the focus of technology isn’t just singular items that people have made, or advanced, for their use, but rather the history and social aspects of these technologies. Pursell writes in a fashion that makes me believe that technology isn’t just artifacts, but also moments. In class we discussed how certain technologies we’re slow to catch on, or made obsolete, and my take away from Pursell’s introduction is that is shown repeatedly throughout history. - Elizabeth Davis | ||
